Back to Business!

It's been almost two months since we were with the Holy Father in Madrid! Wow. We've changed for the better and the graces we've received have continued to sustain us as we started back up at school. Our schedule has gotten pretty packed... 

Saturday, October 22: Soccer Day (probably the last one before spring!)

Meet at church parking lot for 11am. We car pool to the field and are usually back at St. Anthony's for around 3pm. More details to follow.

Friday, November 4: LaSalette Extreme

Excellent nights filled with Catholic speakers, adoration, confession, and praise&worship music, followed by a social hour. Leave the parking lot after the 5:15pm Mass (i.e., around 5:45pm) and carpool to LaSalette. We’d stop along the way for a quick bite to eat before heading there. Should return at around 10:30pm.

Saturday, November 5: Preparation for Annual Food Drive

We're going to be dropping off brown paper grocery bags along with a personal note from the YG and a bulletin (which includes awesome Jesus articles and Mass times... YAY for evangelization!!!) off on doorsteps around the city. The point? Let people know we exist, bring them Jesus (in a direct and not-so-direct way), and get them involved in feeding those in need from our Food Pantry!

We'll be meeting in the back hallway (near our YG closet) to cut/staple notes and brown bags together. After all the bags are assembled we'll pile into cars and drive around dropping the bags off (no worries, we got this cleared with the NBPD).

Thursday, November 10: SAYG Monthly Meeting

Our monthly meeting that starts with Adoration at 5:15pm. We go over events, plan activities, make decisions, etc. We'll be picking our "Secret St. Nick Prayer Recipients" (i.e., the whole palanca bit we did last year) at this meeting; BE THERE!!!!

Friday, November 11: Ignite

We're starting something new in the Youth Group!!! "Ignite" is a night of community, friendship, prayer, learning about our faith, and goal setting/character building; it should be great! It'll start at 4:15 with Adoration followed by Mass at 5:15 and will end at around8:30pm. Dinner will be provided; come for the whole event or part of it!

Saturday, November 12: Annual Food Drive Food Pick-Up

We'll be picking up the (hopefully) filled brown bags from each home (see "Saturday, November 5") and dropping them off at the Parish. Meet at St. Anthony's for 9am (don't forget, 8am Mass!) and will head out from there.

Saturday, November 19: Monthly Pro-Life Prayer Vigil 

A month or two ago we committed as a YG to head up to the abortion mill every month to pray.  We'll be leaving the church parking lot at 6am and will be back by 12pm (we go to Mass at 9am and pick up breakfast afterward). 

Saturday, December 3: Jason Evert

Jason Evert returns to our Diocese to give a chastity presentation. Try your best to make it: 5-9pm. He offers practical guides on how to live chastely and with a pure heart. Don't miss it!

Oh, and the BEST part... He's also teaches on TOB and is extremely TOB+!!! ;-).
